missingWrote a review on Nov 24historic characterflavorful dishescheck-in complicationsstreet noisecheap decor
The charm of staying in a building over 300 years old was undeniable, with its historic character providing a unique atmosphere. The restaurant's Thai dishes added a flavorful twist to the experience, making me wish I could sample them all during my short stay.
The check-in process faced complications, mainly due to an inconsistent communication about arrival times. The double room listed as having a private bathroom turned out to be non-ensuite, a detail that only came to light after arrival, leading to an hour-long dispute. Street noise could be heard in the evening, which may disturb light sleepers, and the lack of a breakfast option meant planning around early departures was necessary. while the building holds historical significance, creaking floors and the appearance of cheap decor did detract from the overall experience.

so i stayed here a few nights, the room was not cleaned and ran out of toilet paper, which is simply unacceptable. and don't get me started on the owner's rude demeanor. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

Just a reliable pick for a short stay in Moreton-in-Marsh with good price-quality ratio. The shower had great pressure and warm water, which was a nice surprise. Bring warm clothes if you're staying in winter.

The food was absolutely delightful, especially the Thai dishes, and I loved the cozy atmosphere of my room, which made for a perfect stay. They offered some amazing relaxation options like a lovely garden space and a tiny library full of great reads. The WiFi was a bit spotty at times, but it didn’t ruin the fun. 😊
